ConvergeNet, Inc. is a private company formed in 2000 by a business combination of two entities, JLS Resources and X-Packet Communications, Inc. The owners of ConvergeNet are Mr. James A. Bryant and Mr. Gray B. Heustess who are also the Company’s most senior advisors. Prior to the 2000 business combination that created ConvergeNet, James had been the owner/operator of JLS Resources since 1998, and Gray had been the owner/operator of X‑Packet Communications, Inc. since 1996. Both James and Gray along with ConvergeNet’s system engineers and engineering managers each have at least 20 years of experience installing, implementing and maintaining network devices and services.
Mr. Dennis M. Bode joined ConvergeNet in 2003 as a systems engineering manager. Mr. Bode adds special expertise and experience in network design and maintenance. Mr. David A. Moore joined ConvergeNet in 2006 as a system engineer. Mr. Moore provides ConvergeNet with unique capabilities and knowledge.
Since 2004, Mr. Rudy A. Markham has served the company as a financial and strategic planning advisor and as a consultant on ConvergeNet’s policies, procedures and regulatory compliance matters. Mr. Markham, a certified public accountant with over thirty years of professional accounting experience, has extensive experience in information technology and security, financial analysis, cost studies and total cost of ownership assessments for technology related activities.
ConvergeNet, Inc. is a custom provider of wide area network products and services and a value-added reseller of “turnkey” solutions. The Company specializes in analysis, design, implementation, installation, maintenance and monitoring of wide area network devices and services, and the Company is highly qualified and experienced in the integration of customer premises equipment, common carrier services, and Internet and public domain services for wide-area networks that require high performance transmission and security of voice and data.
ConvergeNet engineers and managers are experts in convergence of voice and data services over a shared transport systems (e.g., Ethernet systems using Voice over Internet Protocol) with emphasis on secure network environments using “best of class” components. The ConvergeNet approach to network design includes a comprehensive analysis of needs, costs and sources. ConvergeNet also provides maintenance and monitoring services for the wide-area components of enterprise networks.
Most of the company’s implementation, installation, maintenance and monitoring services are performed at customers’ premises using customer-owned or customer-issued equipment. The company is also capable of monitoring services and performance using customer-premises equipment that can be accessed remotely and securely by ConvergeNet technicians using virtual private network (VPN) connections over the Internet. ConvergeNet’s VPN connections are encrypted using Triple DES (data encryption standard) and MD5 digital signature technology.
ConvergeNet is a channel partner for a number of well-known and reputable vendors, including Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Cisco. The Company’s current engagements include an extensive amount of installation and maintenance activities that involve core processing providers for financial institutions, information technology professionals, ILEC’s and CLEC’s.
